What is a Box Scheme?

A Box Scheme is a home delivery service: quite literally a weekly (or fortnightly) box of veg and/or fruit brought directly to your home or place of work. The box contains a selection of produce chosen according to what's in season; we vary the selection from week to week so our regular customers do not get bored and overrun.

Where does the produce come from?

Our produce is as local as possible: we choose farms and suppliers in Cheshire, Lancashire, Merseyside and the Wirral before other parts of the UK. Of course there are some products that we have to import, such as bananas and citrus fruits. We ensure that the producers are paid fairly for their products through our importers.

What will I get in my box?

We offer various sizes of box to suit different households. Each box contains the "basics" and also a mixture of cooking veg and salad, and fruit if required. Click here for example boxes.

What size box do I need?

This is a difficult question to answer as we all have different cooking and eating habits as well as varying numbers of hungy mouths to feed at different ages! Having said all that, our Standard sized boxes are designed for a family of four for an average week. The Large boxes are the larger families or if you do cook with fresh produce every day.

We recommend you to try a box for not just the quality but also for how long it will last you.
